A cast of over 20 children from Henley Children’s Theatre had the unique opportunity to perform under the floodlights on the pitch at Henley Hawks Rugby ground, to a packed an enthusiastic grandstand on the 22nd night of the Living Advent.
The children, under the direction of conductor Muffin Hurst treated the audience to a rendition on several Christmas classics including ‘I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus’, ‘Away in a Manger’ and ‘Jingle Bells’.
“Christmas is all about children having a great time, and so it was fantastic to see some very excited and happy children have this experience just 3 days before Christmas” said Chairman Richard Rodway.The audience were served warm mince pies on arrival courtesy of partners for the evening the Chocolate Café.
Mayor Martin Akehurst opened festivities and assisted Richard Rodway with the conducting of the raffle, with prizes donated by the The Henley Photo School (day long photography workshop), the Chocolate Café (Cream team for 2), and sponsors The Head Partnership Solicitors (bottle of wine).
Next up, it is back to Market Place for night 23.
