Night #21 saw the event return to the lawn at Leander. Breaking with tradition, on arrival, the audience were invited to gather in the first floor bar. A real treat for some in their first visit to the historic home of rowing. They were treated to mulled wine and mince pies courtesy of the hosts and partners for the evening Vividly Simple, Andy Steer from Vividly Simple also being a director of The Henley Business Partnership, one of the sponsors of, and indeed founding organisation, of the event.
Ahead of 6:15 p.m., the audience were invited to congregate on the lawn. For the first time, the event was able to make use of the new riverside terrace that has been installed since the last visit, really creating the perfect back drop, with the Thames and lit up town and bridge behind. Habitual event favourites, the Thames Valley Chorus then assembled for a typically fabulous fun and festive set, including their trademark and typically well received "I Want A Hippopotomus For Xmas".
The night was a fundraiser for Henley Festival, whose charity is all about giving opportunity to local artists and roles in the industry. The generous audience ensured another good sum was raised.
