The finale to this year's event as always saw a large crowd assemble outside Saint Mary's church, with people filing back along Hart Street.
The event's fundraising record (set in 2019) had already been broken the previous evening, and Richard Rodway urging the crowd to give generously once again, with proceeds on this occasion going to the Mayor's charities (the four primary schools in the town and Greener Henley). The audience were treated to mince pies by the church, and Santa made his way through the crowd with a sack full of goodies for the children.
Song books were distributed and the audience encouraged to join in with the choir's carol performance by Father Jeremy Tayler.
The Mayor and Richard Rodway then presided over the raffle draw, and it would later be announced that the evening raised over £620 (one of the highest ever nightly totals), meaning that over £8,500.00 had been raised across the month, a huge increase on the previous record set in 2019.
