One of the biggest audiences of the year assembled in Falaise Square on “Christmas Eve Eve” for night 23 of the Living Advent. Falaise Square had been transformed into a colourful padded makeshift gymnasium, with partners for the evening Chocolate Theatre Café serving up some mince pies, and the lighting being added to by the flashing blue lights of the Community First Responder vehicle, courtesy of the charity partner for the evening.
The children of Springbox Gymnastics then proceeded to wow and delight a crowd full of proud parents, with a variety of displays for the different age groups. Sadly the performance had to be cut short by the slightest of unforecast drizzles, which made conditions unsafe for the demonstration to continue, but not before Springbox had impressed a festive and enthusiastic audience.
Richard Rodway then presided over the final raffle of the year, with prizes donated by Ella’s Kitchen and Massage 4 U amongst others, ably assisted by children from the audience.
The final night of the Living Advent now takes us to Saint Mary's for a rousing climax to this year’s festivities.
