Stand up comedy returned to the Living Advent for the first time in 10 years courtesy of Honk!, and Leah Davis. Martina Swinburn Counselling Services had treated the audience to festive bites and mulled wine in the bar at the Masonice Centre, before Richard Rodway banged the Masonic Centre gong to get the large crowd’s attention, inviting them through to the main chamber, where Tom Ryan of Honk! Took over.

Leah Davis, who has performed for Honk! in the town before, and also appeared at the Henley Literary Festival had the audience in stitches with a fun set. Tom Ryan then led a fun audience participation reworking of the 12 days of Christmas before Richard Rodway presided over the raffle draw, in aid of Bishopswood Special School, raising a terrific £353.
