An audience of over 100 people gathered in the Finlay Suite of Phyllis Court Club. Treated to mince pies and mulled wine by the club, they were then beckoned into the ballroom to take their seats, where a dance routine was already in full swing courtesy of Jennifer Benavidez and 5 other dancers. Jennifer then MC’d through a programme of 6 salsa routines, culminating with Santa joining her on stage and then all of the dancers returning to the floor with the audience for a final dance.
“It was such a special night”, said Richard Rodway. “Particularly fitting, as it was the 200th Henley Living Advent performance, and a number of people have said it was the best one ever”. “It’s been in the pipeline for a while over the last couple of years, and I am delighted that Jennifer and I could make a date work this year. Definitely worth waiting for!”
The night’s charity partner was the Henley Festival, and fundraising was for their supported charities Teenage Wilderness Trust and the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust.
Next up, it’s on to the Henley 60+ Social Club for Night #9.
