Day 22 of the Henley Living Advent took the event to the Living Advent’s very own Carolyn Molyneux’s Delegate House in Hart Street, with refreshments provided in conjunction with partners for the night Cannelle Beauty.
A fundraiser for the Regatta for the Disabled, the blind to the first floor office window was pulled back to reveal the night’s surprise performer, Lucie Henwood who told the audience that she had brought some friends with her.
The group comprised Gail Rosier and Raffi Spring, who performed with Mrs Henwood as part of the “Average Wife Band” at Phyllis Court in 2015, and Sadie Hellon who performed with the Rock Choir on day 10.
They performed some hits from Gloria Gaynor and Neil Young, as well as some festive classics such as Winter Wonderland.
After the performance Richard Rodway presided over the raffle, assisted by “Father Christmas” in the form of Councillor David Eggleton playing the part of Santa.
Thanks to Jill Davidson for the photos.
Night 23 now takes the Living Advent back to Hotel du Vin, in the Ruinart room. Bad weather forecast for the evening as curtailed plans for Falaise Square.
