The 4th Living Advent kicked off in Market Place last night. Festivities were opened at 6:15 p.m. by Mayor Martin Akehurst and Living Advent Trust Chair Richard Rodway, before Robbie Williams tribute act 'Robbing Williams' (aka Marc Hockley) peformed a barnstorming uplifting 30 minute set in front of the Town Hall and Christmas tree. He opened on 'Let Me Entertain You' and finished with 'Angels', with the snow machine adding some extra festive atmosphere and entertaining the children. The Bull on Bell Street provided some fantastic refreshments for the big crowd who gathered in Market Place, and sang and danced along with Robbie.
A big thanks also to Massage for Everybody (£50 massage voucher), Loch Fyne (£25 voucher) and Simon Drew (2015 calendar), who kindly provided raffle prizes for the evening. All proceeds raised go to support our chosen charities.
Thanks to the Henley Standard for providing some photography on the evening, and for everyone who came and has shared their images on social media.
Next up….we're at the Angel on the Bridge, for something a little different, with Copas Turkeys partnering and providing refreshments.
