A choir of 30 singers from Phyllis Court Club, together with music director James Church on piano, performed on stage in the Town Hall for Day 9 of the Living Advent.
The singers were introduced by choir member Tony Horsfall, who compered throughout the performance. The singers performed a number of classics, including a 50s medley featuring “Jailhouse Rock” and The Shirrelles “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” as well as some festive classics such as a reworking of “While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks”, and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”.
Pastries were served to the audience who donated generously to the night’s charity “Parkinsons UK” Henley, and having thanked the night’s partners Kench & Co chartered accountants of Station Road, deputy mayor Will Hamilton presided over the raffle with prizes kindly donated by the charity
Thank you to Kathryn Fell for the photographs from tonight.
Next stop for the Living Advent takes us to the Fire Station, where The Head Partnership Solicitors will be partnering and where fundraising will be for Henley YMCA.
