One of the joy’s of the Living Advent Calendar is to discover places within your own town that you didn’t know existed, or never had the opportunity to go into before.
Monday 9th December gave the audience the opportunity to discover where one of the town’s most famous names is actually located. Stuart Turner, a manufacturing legend from the days when it was involved in motorcycle making, is located just off the road going up the left of the Town Hall. And the Venue provided an great backdrop for the comical, musical antics of No Direction, all dressed as Santa Claus. The group, more a Dad Band than a Boy Band, as one audience member described them, and including Town Centre Manager Peter McConnell, entertained everyone with their banter and unique version of Christmas classics.
The Henley Brewhouse provided warming mulled cider, sausage rolls and delicious goats cheese tartlets.
