Henley Fire Station -
Saturday 13th
Performance Site: In the Forecourt
Partner: The Cookcurry Club
Details of Performers: Henley Fire & Rescue Crew
Highlights
With less than 90 minutes to go to ‘show-time’ the crew from the Fire Station were still on a call out, having been called away to an incident at Watlington. They did return in time, and like the professionals and troopers they are the ‘show must go on’ (and did).
In freezing temperatures, the waiting audience has already been treated to some delicious and warming authentic cuisine from the Cook Curry Club.
The team at the Fire Station then treated the crowd to a pantomime-esque parody of a ‘Christmas Carol’ with ‘Ebeneezer’ ultimately being soaked as his chimney fire was put out. The audience were then invited to explore the station, engine and meet Drago the dragon.
A great occasion, and a sense of community coming together for festive fun.
Raffle prize winners were drawn by members of the crew, the prizes having kindly been donated by The Three Tuns / Head Partnership Solicitors (voucher), Berkshire Mini Centre and Greys Road Farm (champagne) and the Mayor Martin Akehurst (2 bottles of wine).
Every evening Dec 1st - 24th, 6:15 to 6:45pm
