Highlights
Naughty Mutt Nice and The Head Partnership Solicitors came together to provide treats for dogs as well as their owners, with Mill Meadows Bandstand being used as a venue for the first time.
Living Advent favourites ‘the Rock Choir’ entertained the large crowd with a mixture of some festive favourites and contemporary classics.
Richard Rodway explained how Naughty Mutt Nice’s owner Aspen Weatherburn had made contact several months ago about the possibility of becoming involved in the Living Advent this year for the first time, how he was keen to have themed nights this year, and how after discussing a couple of ideas ‘Bring your dog night’ was born.
Mayor Martin Akehurst, Councillor Sam Evans (ably assisted by her dog Humphrey!), Richard Rodway and Aspen Weatherburn presided over festivities, and children from the audience drew the raffle prizes, kindly donated by Pet Barn (a large hamper of dog treats) and last night’s hosts Stuart Turner (champagne).
Next up for the Living Advent is its part in the Henley annual Christmas Fayre, in the gardens at Simmons & Son LLP in the heart of the town on Bell Street, with Living Advent Calendar Trustee Elizabeth Cleall partnering.
Every evening Dec 1st - 24th, 6:15 to 6:45pm
