Highlights
Kitty Dazzles For Cat Charity
Night #22 took the event to the gardens of Simmons & Son for the first time in 4 years. Hugh Legh had again spent much of the afternoon rigging the lighting to transform the gardens into an idyllic festive grotto, where the large audience that had assembled were greeted with mulled wine and mince pies courtesy of the hosts.
The night was a fundraiser for Thames Valley Animal Welfare and the audience had the opportunity to win no fewer than 16(!) items, plus two auctioned items (a weekend at a luxury apartment in Whitstable, and a limited edition certified print of a Ben Cook painting of Henley Bridge).
At 6:15 p.m. Richard Rodway welcomed the audience and introduced the night's surprise performer. Kitty Mazinsky, in complete Advent window style then performed from a first floor window. A wholly Christmas set, with fun classics with which the audience were invited to join in with.
The event raised far more for the charity than had ever been raised on a previous Living Advent visit, and one of the highest nightly totals this year.
Every evening Dec 1st - 24th, 6:15 to 6:45pm
