“Robbie” Entertains Again

The 5^th night of this year’s event took place in the Courtyard at Hotel du Vin. The generous hosts served the audience warming mulled wine in very cold conditions, as well as delicious festive cake.

The night was a fundraiser for Henley Talking Newspaper and Richard Hodgkin addressed the audience about the charity before Richard Rodway introduced the night’s surprise performer. He said that he has commented about this year’s line up being a Living Advent “greatest hits”, that his very first contribution to the event was this performer back on the opening night in 2014, and how he was delighted to welcome him back again, Marc Hockley (aka Robbing Williams).

The audience were treated to a selection of uplifting and festive tracks, heartily joining in with the arm waving to the likes of “Feel”, “Rock DJ” and “Angels”.

As an extra treat, with not everyone able to be a lucky winner in the raffle, Mr. Hockley gave away copied of his CD album “Built In Stories”, so no one needed to go home empty handed!
