Highlights
Pig Foot & Turkey
Night #6 was a cold one in the idyllic picture postcard setting of the terrace at the Angel on the Bridge pub, rather fittingly in aid of Riverside Counselling.
The audience were treated to warm winter Pimms from the hosts for the evening, and Copas Turkeys had kindly supplied some delicious turkey meat for some baps.
The night’s surprise performer was “Ma Bessie & Her Pigfoot Band” albeit tonight missing Ma Bessie herself, with percussionist Andy Wilkins taking centre stage on vocals. The audience were treated to some classic blues tracks including Sam Cooke’s Bring it on home to me, Bob Marley’s Redemption Song, Let the good times roll by Louis Jordan and Call it Stormy Monday by T-Bone Walker.
In addition to the usual raffle, with prizes kindly donated to the charity and from the night’s host Mark Dunlop from the Angel On The Bridge, event organiser Richard Rodway auctioned off a day hire of a 12 seater launch, kindly donated by Hobbs of Henley, meaning the event raised far more than ever before on a visit to the venue, with in excess of £630.00 being one of the highest nightly totals ever raised by the event.
Every evening Dec 1st - 24th, 6:15 to 6:45pm
