The Catherine Wheel-y Festive

Night #7 saw the event visit it’s third new venue this year, in the courtyard at The Catherine Wheel on Hart Street.

In very cold conditions, a spirited audience congregated, giving generously to the night’s charity Headway Thames Valley and being treated to complimentary pizza by our hosts.

The night’s surprise performers were habitual fun Living Advent favourites the Yoko Mainwairing Experience, led by Martyn Cooper. They treated everyone to an exclusively festive and uplifting set, interspersed with their trademark cracker jokes.

“Dominic The Donkey” received its second outing of the week, as did Rocking Around The Christmas Tree and Merry Christmas Everyone, alongside some more traditional classics such as Silent Night.

Another terrific sum was raised for the charity, facilitated by prizes donated to the charity, and from the Catherine Wheel and Nicola Taylor Bakes, as well the auctioning off of a projector and screen home cinema package.
