Living Advent Calendar 2015
The first warm and indoors night of this year’s Living Advent saw the audience congregate in the Finlay Suite at Phyllis Court, were our kind hosts treated everyone to mulled wine and nibbles. Night 5 of the Living Advent took everyone to the gardens of Leander Club, where the large and enthusiastic audience was treated to a great performance of festive tunes and classics (including Que Sera Sera and ‘the Snowman’) by the 40 strong ‘Youthful Orchestra’, notwithstanding 40 mph+ winds howling round Leander! The orchestra performed on the balcony and the building mercifully acted as a windbreak, although they had to content with the odd music sheet or music stand blowing over...
Night 4 of the Living Advent saw a return to Friday Street, where Boatique and Hot Gossip were very kind host. Mayor Lorraine Hillier in full regalia treated the assembling crowds to Hot Gossip mince pies.
