Living Advent Calendar 2016
A choir of 30 singers from Phyllis Court Club, together with music director James Church on piano, performed on stage in the Town Hall for Day 9 of the Living Advent...
The singers were introduced by choir member Tony Horsfall, who compered throughout the performance. The singers performed a number of classics, including a 50s medley featuring “Jailhouse Rock” and The Shirrelles “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” as well as some festive classics such as a reworking of “While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks”, and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”.
The idea for the Henley Living Advent was born after a trip to Sweden, and 6 years later Henley had Sweden to thank again for it’s newest venue to the Living Advent Schedule, Handelsbanken.
