Living Advent Calendar 2019
The audience gathered in the Henley 60+ Social club for night #9, which was a fundraiser for the club itself. Event sponsors and partners for the evening Henley Manor Care Home provided a great spread of refreshments.
Event organiser Richard Rodway then introduced the night's surprise performer, 4 piece ukulele band "The Yoko Mainwaring Experience" comprising of the members of former Living Advent favourites "No Direction HoT boys"...
An audience of over 100 people gathered in the Finlay Suite of Phyllis Court Club. Treated to mince pies and mulled wine by the club, they were then beckoned into the ballroom to take their seats, where a dance routine was already in full swing courtesy of Jennifer Benavidez and 5 other dancers. Jennifer then MC’d through a programme of 6 salsa routines, culminating with Santa joining her on stage and then all of the dancers returning to the floor with the audience for a final dance...
Over 100 people packed into the Town Hall for night #7 where they were treated to fantastic tasty indian and Nepalese cuisine courtesy of the night’s partner The Happy Gurkha. The audience took their seats, and Richard Rodway then introduced the night’s surprise act Felix & Didi Richardson...
“They are the coolest kids in town, and in 20 years time, just remember, you saw them here tonight” Mr. Rodway announced. The dymanic duo performed a number of hits including a reworking of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”.
